Nasir Shaikh, a 26-year-old repairman from Mumbai, India, was killed in a pressure-explosion when two air-compressors for a mall’s air-conditioning system simultaneously violently ruptured while he was performing maintenance on them.
A 10-year-old boy from Thane, India, whose name has not been released to the press, died while using a public bathroom when the facility’s septic-tank suddenly exploded. The vents of the tank had become clogged, allowing volatile gas to build for an extended period of time before violently combusting due to an unknown ignition-source. The explosion caused a heavy metal lid for the tank to be launched through the air, which then landed on his head.

Latori Barman, a 45-year-old farm-laborer from Madhya Pradesh, India, was accidentally buried alive by a team of road-workers. Barman had been walking home while heavily intoxicated and fell into a large pothole where he passed-out for the night. That same night, crews of road-workers were repairing potholes, and without seeing Barman lying down inside of one they filled it in with liquid asphalt and ran it over with a steam-roller. The accident was only discovered the next morning when part of a human arm was seen sticking through a part of the road’s surface and the section of asphalt was exhumed.
